Why this site exists
Big changes to OHP start Jan. 1, 2027. The official facts are real, but they are spread out. This site brings them together for people who are applying.
The short version
- The problem: The state explains the new rules across more than a dozen documents. We have found 22 so far.
- Why it matters: OHA and ODHS told lawmakers that about 600,000 people on OHP could be subject to the new rules.
- Yes, but: Some state papers were written before the latest federal rules. A few say different things. We show you the newest official facts.
- What we do: Put what applicants need in one place, in plain words, with the official source for every page.
What this site is
- A free guide for people applying for OHP.
- Short pages, plain words, and big buttons.
- Links to the state's own forms and pages, so you always use the real thing.
What this site is not
- Not the state. Not run by the State of Oregon, OHA, or ODHS.
- Not an application. You apply with the state.
- Not a decision. Only OHP decides who qualifies.
- Not legal advice. For that, see free legal help.
How we keep it right
- We link to official forms and pages instead of copying them.
- A robot checks every official link each week and flags broken ones.
- Every fact on this site is listed in a public fact log with its source.
- When official papers disagree, we say so in public and use the newest official facts.
Curious how it is made? Everything is public: the code, the fact log, and every decision.
