OHP can help with some bills from before you apply. Starting Jan. 1, 2027, that window is shorter for most adults.

The short version

Through Dec. 31, 2026: OHP can help with bills from up to 3 months before you apply.
Starting Jan. 1, 2027: 1 month for most adults ages 19 to 64. Up to 2 months for everyone else.
OHP's word for it: retroactive coverage.
