Words on your OHP letters

Plain meanings for words OHP uses. Listed from A to Z.

CCO (coordinated care organization)
A local health plan that manages OHP care in your area.
Community engagement
The name federal law uses for the work or activity rules.
Community partner, or assister
A trained helper who can help you apply for OHP. Their help is free.
Exemption
A reason you do not have to meet the work or activity rules. See every reason.
Half-time
A school schedule your school calls half-time or more.
Healthier Oregon
The program that gives full OHP benefits to people who qualify, no matter their immigration status.
Hearing
A way to challenge an OHP decision. Your letter says how to ask for one.
Household income
All the money coming in to the people in your household, added together.
Marketplace
Where you can buy a private health plan. Some people get help paying.
Medically frail
A federal term for people with serious health needs. It is one reason you may not have to meet the rules.
Notice of Eligibility
A letter with OHP's decision.
OHP Bridge
Coverage for adults with income just above the OHP limit. Members pay nothing.
ONE account
Your online account for OHP and other benefits, at benefits.oregon.gov.
Open Card
OHP without a CCO. It has full OHP benefits.
Renewal
When OHP checks again whether you still qualify.
Request for Information
A letter asking for proof or more facts. You have 35 days to reply.
Retroactive coverage
Help with medical bills from before you applied.
